Your Thoughts Are Not Facts

Yesterday we talked about getting all our thoughts out on paper.  Within that thought download there are a few facts but mostly opinions.  How do I know that?  Because it's what humans do.

Another thing that humans do is practice thoughts until we believe they are facts.

If I get the right job - I'll be happy.  I don't have the right job.
If I have the right mate - I'll be happy.  I don't  have the right mate.
If I get the right body - I'll be happy.  I don't have the right body.
If I get the right amount of money - I'll be happy.  I don't have the right amount of money.

None of these are facts.  They are each opinions.

Facts or circumstances would be:

I have a job
I have a mate or I don't have a mate
I have a human body
I have (blank) $$

This is important to know, because thoughts are all optional!

All thoughts are optional!

It's interesting to note the spin we are putting on our facts or circumstances.  When we begin to realize that the story we are telling ourselves can either serve us or not serve us, then things begin to change.

It is truly a choice what you keep in your brain.  New, fresh ideas come when there is space. Clear out the thoughts that aren't serving you.

I encourage you to observe this within yourself without judging it a good or bad.  Isn't it interesting that the human brain works in this way?

Tomorrow we will practice choosing thoughts that serve us and we'll see the effects of choosing those thoughts.
