Three Things
You Are Thankful For


Yesterday we talked about straightening up your brain like you would a room that you want to keep clean and organized

If you need to bring in new thoughts to practice, then say goodbye to the thoughts you have been thinking.  

One of the best ways to do this is by taking Vitamin T-3

When we harness our thoughts by choosing to focus on three things we are thankful for, several things happen in our brain and body.

First,  studies are finding the powerful benefits for choosing optimism and positive thoughts.
This habit releases endorphins into our system, turns on all our learning centers in our brain and raises our productivity as much as 31% !  When we choose to count our blessings it triggers the Relaxation Response.  When this ParaSympathetic Nervous System is engaged,  our metabolism is stimulated and our digestive system revs up.  What a wonderful way to start our day!  

There are two ways we can “take” this vitamin and there are benefits in each method.  I encourage you to start with the written method.  Write three things you are thankful for  each day. A simple and fun way to add additional accountability is to share your thanks with a partner or group.  This can be done in many ways.  It can be done verbally,  through messages, through email or many creative ways.  
My son and his college roommates share theirs on a whiteboard on their refrigerator!  Yes, even college kids “get” the benefits of taking this “Vitamin”.

With both,  there is one important guideline:  pick out three NEW things you are thankful for. So, if you listed “blue sky” today,  you are done with “blue sky” forever!  

Why would I do that?  I do that for two reasons.  
1)  It will keep this activity exciting and fun.  
2) It will shift your focus.  If you are looking for something new to be thankful for,  you will be on the lookout for  all the things you have to be thankful for.

I know that the first few days may be easy as we think of the big things we are thankful for,  but after a while it may get more difficult to think of things.
Get creative, I look for specific things that my husband has done in the last twenty-four hours.
