Today we begin taking advantage of the Vitamin J - Journal. Journal for two reasons and for two results.

             
The first,  Journaling has been found. through research, to be beneficial in helping us tap into the "meaning of My life". 
             
Martin Seligman defines meaning as "belonging to and serving something that you believe is bigger than yourself."
             
Journaling enables us to visualize  and re-experience meaningful moments.  It also helps us process through more difficult moments and discover the meaning in them as well.
            
I encourage you  to journal about one meaningful moment you experience each day.  Include every detail you can remember.  The goal is for you to visualize and re-experience the meaningful moment.  Try to recall as many details as you can(i.e. what someone said to you, where you were, what you were thinking.etc.) 
            
Of course, meaning is completely your own.  It's about what you  perceive as bigger than yourself.  What matters in this exercise is that you see yourself making a positive difference towards creating the world you want to live in. 
             
Each time you re-read these entries, you re-live the excitement and the fulfillment of living out your purpose.  The Relaxation Response is activated and the snowball starts rolling and your trajectory of meaning will branch out into other domains of your life.  

When you purposefully spend several minutes appreciating that you are doing something to make the world a better place, you are building momentum. That helps others increase their happiness and helps them live better lives, too!
