The Breakfast of Champions
The Breakfast of Champions
If you believed you were a champion, how would you start your day?
Use your imagination a little and imagine being champion of this day. Just today.
Do you know what champions do?
They make decisions ahead of time.
They speak to themselves like champs.
When they fall down, they get back up without punishing themselves.
Let's practice;
When you start your day, which would feel like a champion?
- Beginning with blasts from social media, emails, news? OR Beginning with a peaceful routine? (start with 5 minutes)
- One of these is bombarded from outside forces, the other is focused on inside strength.
When you decide what to think, which would feel like a champion?
- "I can't figure this out." OR " I know at least one step to take."
- One of these reduces forward momentum, the other increases forward momentum.
When you decide how to speak to yourself, which would feel like a champion?
- You are such a disappointment. OR For you bless the righteous, O Lord; you cover him with favor as with a shield.- Ps 5:12
- One feels like comparison, the other feels like knowing your identity. "Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]." Colossians 3:2
When you fall down or don't follow through with what you have planned, which would feel like a champion?
- You might as well give up, you're never going to get this. OR "Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have laid hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize of God’s heavenly calling in Christ Jesus." Phil 3:12-14
- One feels like repeating the past, the other feels like creating a future that looks different from your past.
What is a champion?
She is a person who has defeated or surpasses rivals. Her biggest rivals are her competing thoughts.
How does she overcome? "She does this by keeping her eyes on Jesus, the Champion who initiates and perfects her faith." - Heb 12:2
What a way to fill our minds first thing in the morning!
My clients are encouraged to find, create, choose a daily belief plan. It is amazing how much difference it makes when we decide ahead of time one thing to focus on. We do this one - 24-hour span at a time.
This is an incredibly powerful strategy for gaining victory in the way we feed our bodies.
I would love to tell you more about it and answer any questions you have. You can contact me by scheduling your free strategy session today. CLICK HERE to find a time that works for you.
