When you've had enough!

When you've had enough!

This blog is written for those of you who are trying to create lasting change.

For those of you tired of sabotaging your progress by going back and forth between honoring your commitment and giving in to urges.

The reason you are finding it hard is that the thinking patterns you have been using in the past are not the patterns that will build the future you desire.

The good news is that we can handle it.  We have a brain that is made in the image of God.

Here is a way of looking at it.

That part of my life is over now.  It is completed.  That's how I feel about overeating and eating so much food that I feel sick, and living a life of unconsciousness when it comes to food.  That part of my life is now over. I've had enough.

Would you consider looking at your own journey this way instead of it being something that you're giving up for a time and you will always be longing for like it's a missing part of your life?

I want you to change your thinking around it and think of it as something you've completed, something you're done doing.

It's not something you're taking away from yourself.

It is something you're just complete with.

It feels like freedom.

It feels like "I've had enough."

You're not missing out on it anymore because you're finished with it.

When I work with my clients, they discover that food is not the "enemy".

They discover that they are more empowered than they ever imagined.

How?

Together we dig into and uncover the truth and the strength that has been within all along.

Everything we could ever need for life and complete devotion to God has already been deposited in us by his divine power. For all this was lavished upon us through the rich experience of knowing him who has called us by name and invited us to come to him through a glorious manifestation of his goodness. As a result of this, he has given you magnificent promises that are beyond all price, so that through the power of these tremendous promises you can experience partnership with the divine nature, by which you have escaped the corrupt desires that are of the world.-
2 Peter 1:3-4

And this is what makes all the difference!

Our behavior and our choices are an echo of our beliefs.

When we believe we are "image-bearers" we act like "image-bearers".

Even when it comes to food choices.

You can try to figure this out all on your own.  You can continue in the self- destructive shaming. You can give up one more time because you think something is wrong with you.
