The One Thing You Need to Know...

The One Thing
You Need to Know...

What is it?

What is the one thing you need to know in order to achieve your goals?

If your goal is to lose weight, is the one thing you need to know, a diet , powder or pill?

If your goal is to manage your time, is the one thing you need to know, the best planner?

If your goal is to exercise, is the one thing you need to know, the best workout?

If your goal is to have more self confidence, is the one thing you need to know, the best mantras?

Would you believe me if I told you that the one thing you need to know for accomplishing  any goal does not come from outside of you?  It comes from within.

One day, I was hosting a group call with my coaching clients, and I asked the question, "What is the one thing you need to know in order to continue in the wellness steps we have been practicing?"

I listened to the answers from the group and then they asked me the one thing I needed to know. My answer, "I need to know that I am dependable for myself."

I need to know that when I create a plan, I will follow through.  BOOM!

Here are the steps:
1) Create a plan in writing
2) Follow through with that plan
3) Recognize each and every win or accomplishment. Every one!

These are the steps to create the skill set to accomplish anything and everything you want.

These are also the steps to create and increase self-confidence.

Just like when a child is learning a new skill, start small.  Create a plan that is doable.
It might be simply planning what you will eat in the next 24 hours.  Write it down.
It could be planning your daily cleaning tasks.  Break down you weekly tasks into 5 days. Write the plan.
It could be writing down the number of minutes you are engaging in movement.  Write it down. Plan the time.
It could be scheduling in your quiet time/devotional time.  Write it down... for example, 5 minutes from 6:30-6:35, I will read ______, meditate and journal.

Start in one area.

Now, when you get to the planned area, your primal brain is going to try to talk you out of it.  That's okay.  With gentleness, lead yourself into the first step of following through.

Your primal brain is also going to try telling you that this one small step isn't enough. When this happens, remind yourself that any great accomplishment is a series of small accomplishments piled up.

Notice that you are able to choose thoughts that serve you and honor your commitment to yourself.
If you have a hard time revealing the thoughts that serve you and are thoughts to build your future on, let me help.  With one short phone call, I can help you sort out and create new beliefs about you and your goals.  Click here to add yourself to my calendar.  It's free and easy

Start small and remember the most important thing is to BEGIN.

You are worth it,
