Can We Really Have Victory?
Can We Really Have Victory?
Before we can answer that question we need to know what victory is.
My dictionary defines it this way: Success in a struggle.
One thing I am learning is that success can come even before the circumstances change.
A question I learned from Graham Cooke: "Who does God want to be for me now that He couldn't be until this "struggle" happened?"
This question gives me a whole different perspective or "lens" to view my circumstances through.
When I choose to look through the lens of knowing I'm a beloved child of God and that I am never on my own, I find that the circumstances are neutral. The reason this happens is because I have changed my interpretation of the circumstance. I have shifted my thoughts about the circumstance.
But I thank God, who always leads us in victory because of Christ. - 2 Corinthians 2:14
Another helpful practice is realizing that the are no "great" victories, but rather a bunch of small victories complied together.
We can set ourselves up for no good when we refuse or belittle even our smallest of accomplishments.
What is we decided to take a daily dose of Vitamin W3 - Three Wins recognized for each 24 hours?
How differently would we see our struggles and ourselves?
How would that change the way we look at circumstances?
These simple steps are life changing. They can make a tremendous difference in our "victories" with losing weight and regaining health.
