Creating a conscious, realistic plan and following through it the best thing we can do for our body and our mind.
When we create a plan, we make decisions ahead of time. That simplifies meal time. You just eat what you planned. No stress-which, by the way, helps our bodies metabolize 40-60% more effectively.
When we eat what is planned, then we have a clear mind (without confusion, frustration and guilt). We can then listen to what our body tells us about the food. Does it feel bloated, achy, satisfied? We can use this information to create our next 24 hour plan.
This planning works best if it is written. A simple list of food choices for each meal is all you need. If it takes you more than three minutes, you are overthinking it.
If you want an Exception, plan it at least 24 hours in advance.
One of the most powerful things about creating a plan, following through and recognizing our wins is that it gives us practice proving to ourselves that we have our own back. We are someone we can depend upon.
That is the beginning of creating changes you will continue for the rest of your life!
